Amazing $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop Game Master's Fantasy

After a brief run earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is definitely a lifetime license to the CC3+ software, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Bundle Tiers

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 offers enhanced value through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the annual collection from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.

Every volume from the Annual series are included here, plus numerous other resource and asset packs enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or just go all-in on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, underground complexes, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character illustrations. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly an even better deal for cartography beginners considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, part of every purchase goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response.
